Marc Mongeau

Marc Mongeau was born on Prince Edward Island and now lives in Montreal. He has illustrated more than 35 children’s books, mainly published in Montreal and Toronto.

Mongeau also created the scenery and puppets for three puppet shows with Le Théâtre Sans Fil. The shows traveled around the world. He has also illustrated an interactive dvd: Le carnival des Animaux by Camille St-Saens in collaboration with I Musici de Montréal.

Le Musée de la civilisation à Québec hired him to design a thematic exhibition on the environment. His imagery illustrated the delicate balance between nature and man.

His illustrations have appeared in Time Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and Utne Reader as well as in Carnegie Hall and the MoMA.

His latest work with Annick Press is A World Full of Ghosts (2009), where all the illustrations were produced digitally.
