Rocky Landon

Rocky Landon was born and raised in northwestern Ontario. He attended Trent University where he developed a deep appreciation for his Native ancestors and an understanding of the value of people in the First Nations community.

As a teacher, Landon has been active in encouraging First Nation studies in public schools in hopes that students will have a better understanding of Aboriginal culture. He actively encourages members of the First Nation community to embrace their past and teach future generations to keep the traditions and culture of their people alive.

Landon hopes that his book, A Native American Thought of It: Amazing Inventions and Innovations (2008), will encourage readers to learn more about the fascinating culture of the First Nations and perhaps inspire them to learn more about their own culture.

Rocky lives in Kingston with his wife Petra and their two children.
