Kim Rosen

Kim Rosen grew up in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and could usually be found in her room quietly drawing pictures. After high school, Kim moved to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology to study Advertising Design. After several years of working as a designer, Kim realized that she was meant to be an illustrator. Wanting a change of pace and scenery, she decided to move to Savannah, Georgia, to attend graduate school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Since receiving an MFA in Illustration, Kim can usually be found in her studio ... quietly drawing pictures for clients all over the world.

The focus of Kim’s illustrations is on the subtle gestures and simple expressions of people in everyday situations. Kim’s color choices are inspired by the life around her. From the flowers in her garden, to the vintage fabrics in her home, to the painted architecture of New England, these palettes help highlight the subtle gestures and expressions found in Kim’s work.

Kim lives with her partner in Northampton, Massachusetts, in their 115-year-old house.
