Félix Girard

Félix Girard is a painter and illustrator from Quebec City. He was born in 1988 into a family of painters and started drawing at an early age, learning to draw and paint by spending time in the family studio. Most of his whimsical universe was formed at that time, which is why he is inspired by childhood and things related to it.

In 2007, at the age of young age of eighteen years old, Félix began his professional art career. He launched a series of solo exhibitions and left for Lyon, France, to make a living from his art. During that year of exploratory work, he was commissioned to create two paintings per month for an art patron, an agreement that allowed him to live and to travel through Europe.

After returning to Quebec City, still working on his work as an artist, Félix began studies in architecture at Laval University and completed them as an exchange student in Tampere, Finland. After a severe illness in 2011, Félix again took up life as a professional artist, working on various commissions and publications. Félix now owns a workshop in Quebec City where he works full-time on both commissions and personal art.
